Kids Wild 4 Jesus
Knowsley Safari Park May 2002
3000 children, leaders, and families enjoyed a fun day out at Knowsley Safari Park on 18 May. Despite the persistent rain, God blessed the day in so many other ways. It was great to have Bishop James back amongst us, after his recent study leave and visit to India. He welcomed and greeted everyone as they enjoyed the many attractions at this wonderful venue. In his address he asked the children if they had ever been told to ‘grow up’ or ‘behave like an adult’? He then explained to them that Jesus told the adults to become like the children! Bishop James was in fine voice, leading the singing at the end of the day.
Balloons with a gospel message were released; monkeys took delight in adding windscreen wipers to their already vast collection, the marquee, opposite the elephant house, rocked with the sound of praise songs. It was wonderful to see so many people praising the Lord and having fun, and realising that they belonged to a much wider family of God.
